Our beautiful hotel was built somewhere in the 18th century. At the time, a village was called La Vernissierre.
It functioned as an inn, located on a major road heading south. The now D909.
There was a stable where the horses and carriages could be parked. Afterwards, guests could sit down for a simple meal, followed by a comfortable bed for their onward journey. Finally, it was a lot slower, traveling by horse and cart.
Later, in the 20th century, the name of the village was changed to La Basbory, and the property was expanded with rooms, and at the very beginning of the 21st century the property was completely renovated by the previous owners and brought up to current standards .


After Bart and Esther took over the hotel, a lot has changed again. The rich history of Rêve de la vallée creates a homely atmosphere full of tradition and warmth. The interior has now been completely adapted to modern times, with a nod to the past. You feel the history, but with the comfort of today. This makes it wonderful to stay at Rêve de la vallée. Young and old feel at home here.
